From The Weather Center:

  • Weather Brains 101WeatherBrains 101: Glaciation? Has the professor stepped over the line into geology and glaciers? Nope, glaciation is a process that goes on in the atmosphere as updrafts build to levels where moisture can freeze. This week the illustrious professor takes us into the upper reaches of updrafts and thunderstorms.
  • This Week In Weather History: The week of October 16th featured the launch of the first GOES in 1965. Hurricanes still make the news, too, with Hurricane King in South Florida that was very small. And weather affects the World Series. Plus other amazing weather history.
