WeatherBrains 325: Big Events Then and Now

WeatherBrains Episode 325 is now online (April 16, 2012). If you are crazy about weather, this is THE netcast audio program for you!

This is probably the biggest group of guests we’ve ever had on one WeatherBrains show. Joining us as guest panelists are Mike Wilhelm and John Brown. They are avid weather enthusiasts and took to the Central Plains during the recent high risk day for some fascinating storm chasing.

Also joining us will be special guest, Dave Freeman from KSN in Wichita, KS.

And rounding out the guest WeatherBrains will be Greg Carbin, WCM at SPC, Jim Stefkovich, MIC of WFO Birmingham, and Alan Gerard, MIC of WFO Jackson, MS. The main topic for discussion with our guest WeatherBrains will be forecasting the April 27, 2011, tornado outbreak.

Other discussions in this weekly podcast include topics like:

  • Extremes: 10 at Sunshine, WY, and 93 at Westfield, MA, and Quantico MCAS, VA
  • and more!
  • Our email officer dips into the bag and summarizes the incoming.

    From The Weather Center:

WeatherBrains 101: The National Weather Service is looking for comments on a web page redesign, so we divert a bid from our typical format to bring the details of the potential changes.

TWIWH: Bill Murray looks back at the week of April 17th.

Listener SurveyListener Surveys: Okay, we continue to drive this topic into the ground, but we really do like to hear from you. Many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to fill out the Listener Survey. The survey takes just a minute or two to complete and provides us with an opportunity to learn where you are and hear your thoughts and comments on the show. Click here to take the survey.
