His 13 page resume includes research, teaching, newspaper, surf and ocean wave forecasting, television weather, lecturing, work at the Tropical Analysis and Forecast Branch at the NHC and his latest position as the MIC at the NWS San Angelo TX. WeatherBrains is pleased to have Dr. Steve Lyons on the program this week.
Dr. Lyons was the Hurricane and Ocean Wave Expert for The Weather Channel from 1998 until earlier this year. His broad background in meteorology allows him to talk about just about anything tonight including tropical, marine, synoptic, satellite, mesoscale and media meteorology as well as academia.
