Tonight’s GuestWeatherBrain is affectionately known as the “Godfather of Pacific Northwest Weather.” Dr. Cliff Mass is a professor of Atmospheric Science at the University of Washington. We spoke with him Sunday afternoon from one of the most beautiful places in the U.S., Seattle, WA.

WeatherBrains 101: Ron in Georgetown, KY, wrote in asking about red flag warnings. Seems he heard one in reference to a tropical storm, but a web search provided information on a Red Flag Warning related primarily to dry conditions. So this week we try to unravel some of the confusion that has created.
