The NWA is one of two primary professional meteorological organizations in the US with about 3,000 members. They are headquartered in the Raleigh, NC, area. Membership is open to anyone interested in the weather serving primarily the operational community. The 36th national NWA annual meeting will be held in Birmingham in 2011 at the Wynfrey Hotel.
