WeatherBrains - June 8, 2010Our guest panelist is Laura Velasquez handles the weekend weather duties for Storm Team 8 at WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, MI. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Central Michigan University. She majored in meteorology and minored in math and Geographic Information Sciences.
Joining us this week as our guest Weather Brain is Dr. Dennis Todey. Dr. Todey has his Bachelors and PhD in meteorology from Iowa State University and his Masters from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Some of his research has included data gathering from different platforms, understanding the effect of climate on yields in the Midwest, the relationship of Pacific SSTs and climate and agriculture in the Midwest and trends in climate in South Dakota. He is an Associate Professor of Ag & Biosystems Engineering-SDSU and he is the South Dakota State Climatologist.
