WeatherBrains 270: Give me the Banana

WeatherBrains Episode 270 is now online (March 28, 2011). If you are crazy about weather, this is THE netcast audio program for you!

Carol Ann GarrattListener Ronald Argo heard tonight’s Guest WeatherBrain speak in Atlanta back in November. He thought the Weatherbrains Nation would be interested in hearing how she used weather to help her set a new world record. So tonight we introduce you to Carol Ann Garratt, a true aviation pioneer. She smashed the around-the-world speed record in a light, single-engine plane. It’s a record that stood for more than 20 years. She and her copilot flew 24,000 miles in 8 days. They not only broke a world record, but they also raised a lot of money for a great cause. Hear all the details in this episode.
