Exclusive: Photo Reveals Truth

The geeks on Weather Brains have a history of exchanges with each other on a variety of topics. One of those recurring topics is the ability of one of the geeks to “steal” wi-fi. These accusations are purely false with no little foundation in truth or reality.

In an exclusive to Weather Brains, the un-retouched photo below was made on May 14, 2008. This photo clearly reveals the truth of how Mr. Peters goes about finding wi-fi locations. The Orange Beach municipal complex includes several of these signs which are posted at all Orange Beach city buildings. The City of Orange Beach provides the FREE wi-fi access for all of it’s citizens and visitors.

When I first noticed the signs, I stopped at the main city hall and inquired about the access. The lady behind the desk was very friendly and helpful and confirmed there was was no charge for this service provided by the city. She also confirmed that wi-fi is available at all of the city buildings such as the library and the community center.

So let the truth be known! And special thanks to the City of Orange Beach for being so progressive in this age of electronics.
