He grew up in Northern Michigan and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for his undergraduate education. He received his Masters and Ph.D. from Florida State University. His bio says he is a research atmospheric scientist with expertise in synoptic-dynamic meteorology, numerical weather prediction analysis, and tropical cyclone climate interactions. Dr. Ryan N.
