Born in Chicago, IL, and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Dave&#8217;s interest in television was sparked at an early age.  Motivated with a deep passion for weather, Dave took advantage of the on-camera experience received through his position as his high school&#8217;s first weatherman.  Dave&#8217;s interest in weather didn&#8217;t stop in his high school newsroom.  After earning a Bachelors of Science from California University of Pennsylvania in Earth Science with an emphasis in Operational Meteorology, he went on to Mississippi State University where he earned a Masters degree in Geosciences with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008, the Louisiana Associated Press awarded him Best Weathercast.  He earned 3rd place in the category in 2009.  In 2007 he was also awarded 3rd place for his Breaking Weather coverage.  Dave now resides in Baton Rouge.  When he isn&#8217;t working, he enjoys cooking, running, storm chasing, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.weatherbrains.com\/graphics\/jeff-piotrowski.jpg\" alt=\"Jeff Piotrowski\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"10\" \/>Friend of the show <strong>Jeff Piotrowski<\/strong> is one of the top storm chasers in the business.  Jeff is an experienced storm chaser. He is also a Regional Sales Manager at Baron Services, Huntsville, AL.  He and his wife Kathryn, also a chaser, live in Tulsa, OK.  Jeff was a guest on <a href=\"http:\/\/weatherbrains.com\/weatherbrains\/?p=2317\">WeatherBrains 289<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.weatherbrains.com\/graphics\/ryan-hanrahan.jpg\" alt=\"Ryan Hanrahan\" align=\"left\" \/>To give us a northeastern perspective, we welcome <strong>Ryan Hanrahan<\/strong>, weekend evening meteorologist at the NBC station in New Britain, CT.  Ryan Hanrahan joined the NBC Connecticut Weather Team in December, 2005, and serves as a general assignment reporter on weekdays in addition to his weekend weather duties.<\/p>\n<p>Growing up along the shoreline in Guilford, CT, his interest in the weather was sparked by Hurricanes Gloria and Bob, along with the blizzards of &#8217;93 and &#8217;96.  Ryan returned to Connecticut after working as a meteorologist for WNYT, the NBC affiliate in Albany, NY.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology from Pennsylvania State University.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan currently lives in West Hartford.  Besides forecasting the weather, Ryan enjoys spending his spare time at the gym, at the beach, or on the slopes skiing.
