After a stint in the Air Force, he got the weather bug and became an intern at Birmingham.  He was promoted to a journeyman forecaster position in 2007 and has assumed responsibility as the focal point for the upcoming dual polarization radar upgrade.  The Birmingham WSR-88D is scheduled to have the upgrade completed during February.
