Tonight’s Guest WeatherBrain is the Meteorologist in Charge (MIC) of the NWS Weather Forecast Office in Peachtree City, GA. Lans Rothfusz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1982 and his Master of Science degree in meteorology from the University of Oklahoma in 1985. After two years of postgraduate work at the University of Oklahoma, he began his tenure with the NWS in 1987. With the NWS, he has served in Chattanooga, TN; Oklahoma City, OK; Fort Worth, TX; as the Meteorologist in Charge of the offices in Tulsa, OK and now Peachtree City. Lans was also the MIC of the Olympic Weather Support Team for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He joins us tonight from his home in Fayetteville, GA.
