WeatherBrains 234: Cantore And Michaels

WeatherBrains Episode 234 is now online (July 20, 2010). If you are crazy about weather, this is THE netcast audio program for you!

WeatherBrains - July 20, 2010

Mish Michaels
This week’s Guest WeatherBrain #1 needs no introduction to fans of The Weather Channel. She started her career in broadcast meteorology at WMUR in NH in 1990. She began her career in Boston with WHDH (NBC) back in 1992 working as weekend meteorologist. She worked for The Weather Channel (TWC) as co-host of Atmospheres along with Jim Cantore. She worked for WBZ (CBS) from 2001 to 2009. She has written articles for Weatherwise Magazine. She has a Master’s degree in Technology in Education from Harvard University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Cornell University in New York.

Jim Cantore
Our second guest… Towns cringe when they see him coming cause they know that a hurricane or tornado outbreak or winter storm can’t be far behind. Like seeing the crew from 60 Minutes in your office lobby on a Monday morning. But everyone loves him…he is the number one personality on The Weather Channel, Jim Cantore.

Great having Jim and Mish together this week talking about their times together on the Weather Channel, and looking ahead to the future of broadcast meteorology.

Other discussions in this weekly podcast include topics like:

  • What did J.B. have for breakfast???
  • Dr. Tim bitten on the river by fish
  • Bill Murray handles the email inbox for Kevin
  • and more!
  • Listener SurveyListener Surveys: Okay, we continue to drive this topic into the ground, but we really do like to hear from you. Many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to fill out the Listener Survey. The survey takes just a minute or two to complete and provides us with an opportunity to learn where you are and hear your thoughts and comments on the show. Click here to take the survey.
